What’s camp like?
O-Camp is a weekend escape designed to help you jumpstart your uni experience! Packed with exciting challenges, team-bonding activities, and endless excitement, it’s the perfect opportunity to break the ice, step outside your comfort zone, and immerse yourself in the UNSW community. Expect plenty of laughter, new friendships, and memories that’ll stick with you long after camp ends!
How safe is camp?
Safety is our number one priority - We take safety seriously, so you can focus on the fun! Our Camp Leaders are trained and fully prepared to create a secure, inclusive, and positive environment, ensuring all activities follow the highest safety standards. From first aid to clear guidance, we’ve got everything covered to make your camp experience worry-free!
Additionally, all campers and leaders complete misconduct modules before attending camp, reinforcing our commitment to a safe and respectful environment for everyone.
How do camp groups work?
Before camp kicks off, you’ll be sorted into a group of around 7 campees, each led by three dedicated Camp Leaders. This setup guarantees you’ll meet a diverse mix of fellow first-years, helping you build connections from day one as you complete each activity together. Your leaders will be there every step of the way, making sure you feel welcomed, involved, and ready to make the most of the weekend!
